Finding the right instrument for you

If you are looking for that special violin to take you on to music college, or a good professional instrument for orchestral or solo playing, we always have several hundred good French, English and German violins from the seventeenth to the twenty-first centuries in our violin rooms at Beeston and Birmingham from our stock of around one thousand instruments.

Virtuoso violins

Many of our instruments could be termed orchestral standard, suitable for grade 8 and above. If you are a serious amateur player, or a student about to enter music college or at the start of your orchestral career, there is a good choice of named French, German or English and other European violins as well as fine unnamed instruments.

Good student instruments

Many of our violins are of the "good student" standard, with an excellent selection of instruments in each price range from a few hundred pounds upwards, including 1/8 to 7/8 size violins for the early developer who needs something better to fulfil his potential.

Beginners' and budget violins

For those just starting out or on a budget, we have a selection of new violin outfits complete with cases and bows. With prices starting at less than £50 for a violin complete with a bow and a case, these instruments are available at prices to suit any pocket and in all sizes.
