Student violin bows (brazilwood, nickel mounted) start at under £20. It is essential for the full development of the player's technique, as he or she improves, to upgrade the violin bow along with the violin.

We have a very good choice of student bows to suit players in their early stages (see also our small-sized bow list) including 19th and twentieth century European bows as well as the very good value Chinese made ones at various prices. Good factory made modern bows are available at around £80 - £90, nickel mounted and brazilwood, while pernambuco ones are available from about £110.
