Valuations

We are always happy to offer our expert advice and to give free verbal valuations for violins, violas, cellos, double basses and bows. Written valuations, for example for inurance companies, are available at a small charge - please enquire for more details.

Part exchange

Buy an old or second hand instrument from us and when you come back to upgrade, you will get a 100% refund, assuming that you upgrade to an instrument costing at least 100% more. (Please note that this promise is not applicable to instruments which were sold on a commission basis).

Instrument purchases and commission sales

If you have an instrument for sale then we may be able to buy it off you, or we can sell your instrument for you on a commission basis - please enquire for more details.

Mail order and online shop

We offer a mail order service for products such as starter violin outfits or strings and other accessories. A selection of our most popular ranges are available to buy through our online shop. If you are after something in particular that is not available through our online shop then please phone us on 0115 943 0333 as we may well have what you are looking for, or can order it in for you.

Workshop

Our workshops and experienced restorers allow us to offer a superb after sales service including a free yearly checkup and clean on all instruments purchased from us. We offer a full repair service, from bow rehairs to major restoration. We are also happy to give free advice and estimates regarding any repair work your instrument might need. Schools

We are used to dealing with enquiries from schools and eduacation authorities, and can arrange bulk orders for starter outfits for example, or for budget cases or strings etc..

You might want to take advantage of your school's offer to let you buy an instrument through them. If your school operates such a scheme then we would be more than happy to help.
