Good and rare early English cello by a member of the Pamphilon family, Essex or London ca 1680 - 1700. Significant in that it is complete with original head which is rare for these cellos. Comes with letter from John Dilworth, London.


The two piece back of fairly plain maple, the varnish of a dark golden brown. Length of back 716mm.

Condition: to be restored.
